An Introduction to
Board Members
The Board of St Leger Homes of Doncaster is made up of fifteen people - five Council tenants, five independents and five Council nominees.
Brian Naughton: I live in Armthorpe, and have served as a member of the St Ledger Buses Management Panel for 5 years. I was also the Chair of Doncaster Organisation for visiting the Elderly for 27 years. I devote much of my time working for local tenants. I am the Chair of CALM TARA and a member of the Standing Joint Committee of the Doncaster Federation of Tenants and Residents Association.
Jim Parkin: I'm an apprentice-trained electrician, having progressed to project engineer, operations manager and business manager within the electrical and mechanical industry. I have many years' experience of managing projects, including re-wiring, re-heating and housing improvements for local authorities and social housing organisations.

Christine Hague:
Christine lives at Warmsworth and was elected to the Board in November 2008. Christine works part-time in the local newsagents and attends her local TARA. Previously she has worked as a childminder and foster carer. Christine decided to stand for election after reading an article in the tenant newsletter.
Frank Protheroe: I have lived in Doncaster all my life, except for my army career and was educated at Kirkby Ave school at Bentley and Doncaster college. I am a plasterer by trade and since leaving the army have lived in Woodlands, Tollbar and Bentley. I was a local football referee in the 80s and now enjoy my rugby supporting the Dons. I was a member of the West Area Board until being voted on to the Main Board, being the first tenant nominated representative.
John Young: John has experience of managing a range of front line services both as contractor and client and for over 30 years occupied senior positions in the public sector specialising in housing and direct services. John continues to act as the Company Secretary to the Doncaster Community Recycling Partnership. John lives in Doncaster.
Doctor Rory Perrett:
Rory trained as a mining engineer working at Armthorpe, Bentley and briefly Harworth pits before moving to Mining Supplies on Carr Hill. Rory later moved away from the area pursuing a career in engineering before entering education. Returning to work in Doncaster in 2003, Rory joined Doncaster College working on business development. He is currently Assistant Principal for Development with interest in economic and social regeneration.
Andrew Bosmans: Andrew, a Doncaster accountant was born and bred in the town. A former Adwick Comprehensive School pupil, Andrew has worked in East Anglia, the West Midlands and North Derbyshire before returning to his home town.

Cllr Andrea Milner: Andrea was elected as a Council member in 2007 and is a Ward and Parish Councillor for Rossington. She is a member of the Planning Committee Visists Group and the Cabinet member for Connected Communities.
Cllr Bill Mordue: I am a Labour Councillor and an apprentice trained fitter by trade, having worked in the railway industry until the late 90's. As the rail maintenance industry began to contract, I decided to pursue other interests and have since completed a degree at the University of Sheffield. In 1999, I had the honour of being elected to serve on the Council and am currently Member for Neighbourhood Environment and Housing.
Cllr Stuart Exelby: I am a Labour Councillor and have been in local government all my working life. I initially started with West Riding County Council in 1959 and moved to South Yorkshire County Council in 1974. Following the abolition of SYCC, I went to work for Doncaster Council until taking early retirement in 2002. I was elected as a Councillor for the Central Ward in 2002 and have been a member of Mayor Winters' cabinet since 2003. In May 2007, I was re-elected for another four year period. On a personal level, I have an interest in all types of sport, music and socialist politics
Cllr Doreen Woodhouse: Doreen has been a Conservative councillor in Doncaster since 2002 and serves the Sprotbrough ward. Besides serving the St. Leger Homes Board she is also the vicechair of Doncaster Council's Schools, Children's and Young People's Committee and is Chair of the Awards, Grants and Transport Committee. She is on the Advisory Board of Sprotbrough Children's Centre and the DMBC Members Development Working Group. Doreen, a mum-of-three and grandma-of-two, is also Chair of Sprotbrough Parish Council.
Cllr Cliff Hampson: Cllr Hampson has served as a Liberal Democrat councillor in Doncaster since 2002. He runs a private hire taxi business in the town and lives in Kirk Sandall. He is involved with many local community groups in Kirk Sandall and Intake and his hobby is wildlife preservation.
