The Housing Services Department
operates a manned 24 hour monitoring and
assistance service for residents of council owned senior citizen developments
and a limited number of Housing Association properties throughout the
Metropolitan Borough. Alongside this the identical ´Community Alarm
Service´ is offered at a small fee to individual senior citizens living
in the private sector. Additionally provided is an ´out of hours repairs
service´ where local authority tenants can immediately report repairs
of an emergency nature that occur during out of working hour periods.
