Derwent & Lingfield TC

The Association was formed at the Inaugural to open the Derwent and Lingfield Centre in November 1985. Officials and a committee were appointed. A Committee meeting is held on the last Thursday of the month at the centre. We have meetings for the members every Monday & Thursday evening at 7:30pm. There is usually a discussion on topical events followed by a bingo session, tea and biscuits. Members are encouraged to bring along guests from time to time. There is a crafts and hobbies afternoon on Tuesday's at 2pm. Tea & biscuits are served and some lovely work is produced. On Wednesday afternoon's the centre is used by the local Retired Persons Group who have guest speakers, slide shows, etc. We have outing which are organised under the supervision of our resident Wardens. We have a Christmas party every year and a Bonfire Night Supper to mark the opening date of the centre. The centre may be used by our members for family parties, funerals etc. for no charge. Our annual General Meeting is held every March and a balance sheet produced from our accounts, which are audited by an accredited person.
