MOST INNOVATIVE TARA 2010
School Safety Initiative Members of the Edlington Royal TARA have been working tirelessly to ensure that the strong message is clear for all to see: NO WAITING! NO PARKING! NO EXCUSE ! Banners have been errected outside every primary/ infant and junior school in the West of the borough, to ensure the children in our communities are kept safe. The pilot initiative will commence in the 'West' of Doncaster, which covers areas such as Scawsby, Sprotborough, Warmsworth, Edlington, Conisbrough and Mexborough. Schools and Parish councils have now been contacted to gain their support and ensure the project is a success. If you would like to make a donation to the project or would like more information please contact Heather Saunders 01302 862292.
Step by Step Moving Forward Members of the Edlington Royal TARA are working with Friends of Martinwells Lake to reclaim a hidden beauty spot. In recent years the pond has been abandoned and uncared for. As can be seen from the photos below hard work and patience is becoming fruitful and it is hoped that the pond will be returned to its former glory.
If you would like to join in with the group, you will be made very welcome, the group will be meeting as follows: The Friends of Martinwells Lake Sunday 25th July - to include a walk around the site We have started clearing some of the trees and are currently working on the pathways which has All Welcome – children must be accompanied by a responsible adult
