The last ‘Name a Good Neighbour’ competition held in 2000

Members of the Federation with Council Officers at the launch of the competition 1998
In 1998 the Federation introduced a 'Name a Good Neighbour' competition into the borough. There was talk of 'anti social behaviour' being caused, by certain members of the community, but it was always known by members of the associations that there are good people out there on our estates. So the competition was set up to seek them out. The aim being to find one finalist from each of the, then, six Housing Management areas that we had in the Borough of Doncaster.

So, once again Doncaster Federation of Tenants' & Residents' Associations invited the residents of Doncaster Borough to Name A Good Neighbour.

The competition was judged on 7th February 2000 by
Her Worshipfulness The Mayor, Cllr. Mrs Margaret Robinson,
Superintendent Clive Davies (South Yorkshire Police),
Mick Peduzie, Chief Tenants Liaison Officer, Housing Department (DMBC)

Many thanks to them for selecting the winners.
