The SJC - What we do

The Standing Joint Committee of the Doncaster Federation of TARA

What is the Standing Joint Committee

All the tenants and residents associations in Doncaster Borough have joined together to fight for their rights. The SJC is not part of the council it is run by a committee elected by the members of Tenants and Residents Associations within the Doncaster Borough.

The Committee consists of 16 members, 12 Tenant and 4 Resident, these are elected at the Federations AGM.

At the first committee meeting after the AGM the committee elects a Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary and a Treasurer.

The Committee may co-opt any person/s who they consider to have knowledge or skills that may benefit the Federation.

Every Association may nominate two of their members, a Tenant and a Resident for election on to the SJC at the Federation's AGM
